The social media competitiveness strikes again, as Facebook recently launched a new experimental feature for its mobile app.
Allowing users to add live filters to their photos and videos imitates the key features their main rival Snapchat are most famous for.
In a statement Facebook said: “People are increasingly sharing via videos and photos – on Facebook and beyond. It’s our job to create experiences that help people create and share in the ways they want.”
As these filters were initially released just in time for the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics, only iOS and Android users in Canada and iOS users in Brazil can access these features at the moment – sorry UK, looks like you will have to wait your turn.
